Texturizing (AOI Japanese Permanent Wave)

What is the Permanent wave??

A permanent wave, commonly called a perm, involves the use of chemicals to break and reform the bonds of the hair. The hair is washed and wrapped on a perm rod and waving lotion is applied with a base. This solution creates a chemical reaction that softens the inner structure of the hair by breaking some of the cross links within and between the protein chains of the hair. The hair swells, stretches and softens, then molds around the shape of the perm rod.

How it works

Before:

After applying the 1st solution:

Thioglycolic acid and alkali solution cut off the cystine binding (Reduction and reaction).

After winding:

Cystine binding is shifted by a rod and relocates, forming the curl.

After applying the 2nd solution:

    2nd solution rebonds cystine connection.
This hydrogen oxidation reaction is called cystine recombination.

The bounds are reformed, creating a long-lasting curl.

Tips for nice curling style.

1. Wet your hair. Since the Permanent wave is formed by water, it is important to wet your hair before styling.
2. Apply wax or mousse before using hair dryer. If you would like to make a soft curl, we recommend using mousse. If you would like to make a clear curl, we recommend using wax.
3. Dry your hair. It’s better to dry your hair roots first, because the hair ends are really easy to dry. Also, it’s better to dry from bottom to top.
4. Create the style  you want!!
